Criteria to Pass

  • If using the pole, the client must not move the pole while balancing — it is for light touch only, not as a crutch
  • The client must not have significant weight through the pole
  • Control must be established without assistance (other than the light pole contact if at Level 1)
  • The client must not hop, skip, or step to maintain balance
