- Neutral spine maintained throughout — no excessive rounding or extension
- No butt wink or pelvic tilt at the bottom of the squat
- Proper end-range awareness — client knows where their range stops
- Alignment of feet, knees, and hips maintained regardless of foot position
- Quads reach parallel to the ground at the bottom position
