A foundational lower-body pattern assessment evaluating knee tracking, hip mobility, ankle dorsiflexion, and the ability to maintain a neutral spine under load.

Criteria to Pass

  • Neutral spine maintained throughout — no excessive rounding or extension
  • No butt wink or pelvic tilt at the bottom of the squat
  • Proper end-range awareness — client knows where their range stops
  • Alignment of feet, knees, and hips maintained regardless of foot position
  • Quads reach parallel to the ground at the bottom position
