In-Line Lunge

An overhead walking lunge pattern that tests shoulder mobility, hip stability, core control, and ankle integrity all in a single dynamic movement.

All Assessments

Criteria to Pass

  • Both arms remain stable overhead during the entire movement
  • A straight line exists from the ankle, knee, and top of the femur on both sides
  • Hips remain level and do not hike during the movement
  • Core stays neutral and braced — no butt wink or anterior pelvic tilt
  • Weight stays balanced in the feet — no front-to-back or side-to-side shift
  • The back ankle stays vertical with heel over toe throughout
