½ Kneeling Rotations

Isolates thoracic rotation by locking out hip and lumbar movement. A key indicator of shoulder girdle mobility, scapular stability, and the ability to rotate from the thoracic spine.

Criteria to Pass

  • A straight line from fingertip to fingertip is maintained
  • Arms and torso rotate parallel to the front leading leg
  • Scapula stays packed and engaged throughout the rotation
  • Hips remain completely stable — no rotation or shifting
  • The front knee does not move forward, back, or side to side
  • Torso stays vertical and erect throughout the movement
