Isolates thoracic rotation by locking out hip and lumbar movement. A key indicator of shoulder girdle mobility, scapular stability, and the ability to rotate from the thoracic spine.

- A straight line from fingertip to fingertip is maintained
- Arms and torso rotate parallel to the front leading leg
- Scapula stays packed and engaged throughout the rotation
- Hips remain completely stable — no rotation or shifting
- The front knee does not move forward, back, or side to side
- Torso stays vertical and erect throughout the movement
